Provides strategic advice on EU health, ageing and social policy, with a strong focus on older people’s rights, long-term and informal care as well as stakeholder engagement at European level.
Background & Expertise
Christine is a Dutch clinical psychologist specialised in psycho-gerontology and social gerontology, with extensive experience spanning clinical practice, EU institutions, advocacy networks and public affairs. She has held senior leadership roles in European ageing organisations, including as the first Director of AGE – the European Older People’s Platform, and has worked as a consultant for the European Commission. Since 2003, she has led Marking Public Affairs in Brussels, advising on a wide range of EU health and social policy initiatives. She works fluently in Dutch, English and French, with conversational German and Italian.
