Alzheimer, a story to remember

 Last year Association Alzheimer Bulgaria started the project Story2remember https://story2remember.eu in cooperation with 5 other European organizations. The goal of the project is to provide a tool for people with dementia, as well as for their caretakers, to express themselves and to communicate with others in a fun and supportive environment through using theater and storytelling.

The entire program of Story2Remember is targeted towards creating an educational program, which is to give the formal and informal caretakers of people with dementia a tool box, with which they could help the social integration of people with dementia through using creative theater and storytelling.

Our greatest hope is for the therapies from the project Story2Remember to be included in the standard system for care for people with dementia in Bulgaria. This project will support the developing of national strategies for care for people with dementia, based on the principles of social integration.
