Main Objectives
With the cooperation of partners from Greece, Belgium, France and Ireland, the “Learning for Caregivers in Europe (Learn4Carers)” project has the following objectives:
- Exchange of experiences and good practices to support informal or family carers
- Strengthening mutual learning among organisations in relation to support services for informal carers
- Informing professionals providing support services to informal carers
- Raise European citizens’ awareness of the challenges faced by informal carers
- Developing proposals at both local and European level to support informal carers
Project activities
Activities of the project include:
- Transnational meetings in Athens, Dublin, Brussels and Paris
- Focus groups with family carers, professionals and policymakers
- Discussing, collating and recording the needs of family carers and good practices to support them
- Webinars
- Awareness activities in partner countries
- Project website with informative material
- Social media communications detailing the project as it progresses
