ELDICARE: Re-defining skills in a post-COVID European Silver Economy
Eurocarers is involved in a new project starting July 1st. ELDICARE 2.0 aims to bridge the gap between the market needs in terms of skills and competences in the long-term care sector, and the ability of the Vocational and Educational Training (VET) institutions to provide needed curricula and up-skilling opportunities, in order to achieve a better balance in the sector.
This initiative will build on the previous ELDICARE project and networks established in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Greece in order to reach out to local/regional actors in Italy, Spain and Austria. One of the project’s aims is to establish a network involving VET institutions and the elderly care sector, that will be open to the civil society and the business sector, facilitating mutual learning and capacity building.
ELDICARE 2.0 is supported by the Erasmus+ EU Programme for a duration of 5 years. It brings together 17 organisations under the coordination of the Greek VET provider AKMI. More information will be shared regularly in Eurocarers newsletter as the project develops.
