Despite significant advances in people’s health and life expectancy in recent years, relative improvements have been unequal among and within countries. Care is too often fragmented and, as a result, the responsiveness of the health and long-term care (LTC) systems and satisfaction with care services remain low in some EU member states (more than 70% of EU citizens are satisfied with the overall quality of the health and long-term care in their home country, according to a new survey by Eurobarometer.
