Reducing the burden of carers – the Swiss promotion plan

The promotion program of the Federal Office of Public Health aims to study the situation and needs of family caregivers. It must make it possible to develop offers of support and discharge adapted to needs so that family caregivers can, as far as possible, continue their gainful activity. Research projects and the documentation of models of good practice make it possible to establish knowledge bases, guides aimed at strengthening support for caregivers in the world of work and training as well as planning bases intended for the cantons, cities and towns for the development of structures adapted to needs.
After a year 2019 under the sign of models of good practice, the 2019 promotion program focused on the publication of the first conclusions of the research mandates.
