The European voice for informal carers

Successful European seminar concluding the Care4Dem project

On 25 June, Eurocarers held an online seminar, to disseminate and discuss Care4Dem results.

During the event, the project’s partners presented the Care4Dem’s comprehensive set of tools and guidelines, enabling stakeholders to implement easily the model and engage a commonly left out group into adult learning. Together with carers and professionals involved in the intervention, partners shared the learning of the piloting in Portugal, Spain, Italy and Romania, as well as testimonies from health care professionals and informal carers participating in the intervention.

The seminar also offered an opportunity to discuss further the project’s take-aways and the conditions which must be fulfilled in order to ensure that informal carers can rely on adequate support online in the foreseeable future. Representatives from the European Commission (DG CNNECT) , AGE-Platform (the voice of older persons at EU level ), cities (Eurocities), and non-profit Health Mutuals (AIM) contributed to a very fruitful discussion, sketching possible follow-up actions. The seminar was attended by 45 people from across  Europe.

All the presentations displayed during the seminar as well as the seminar report are available on the event’s webpage: https://eurocarers.org/care4dem-2/

Care4Dem project will end on 31 August 2020. By then, all the materials produced will be accessible online on the project’s website: https://eurocarers.org/care4dem/
