3rd Young carers Symposium in France
We are excited to announce the upcoming 3rd Young carers Symposium in France, to be held on the 10th of October 2024 in Paris. Organized by Association nationale Jeunes AiDants Ensemble and our partner from the JAID Research Project, hosted by University Paris Cité.
Association nationale Jeunes AiDants Ensemble ( JADE) is the first French ONG to advocate for young carers rights in France . Created by French psychologist, Françoise Ellien, who initiated in 2014 a respite care program for young carers ages 6-18 , JADE is now a national resource for supporting young carers and adult young carers providing information, support and respite. The respite program has extending to various regions in France.
This 3rd symposium aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between professionals and state the advancement of the JAID research program, led by Professors Aurelie Untas and Géraldine Dorard and ongoing since 2017.

Who should attend: Young caregivers, healthcare professionals, educational professionnals, researchers, policymakers, and anyone involved or interested in young carers and young adult carers.
Entrance fees: The Symposium emphasizes the symbolic entrance of participants (30 EUR including lunch fees).
The full program is available on JADE’s website. The event will feature a diverse range of speakers and covering different aspects of research from the JAID Research Project .
