The European voice for informal carers

Made in Social Europe exhibition: take part in the 2020 (virtual) edition !

Eurocarers’ members have a new possibility to disseminate about a project or an initiative they are leading. The Social Platform, an alliance of Civil Society Organisations active at the EU level, of which Eurocarers is a member, organises every year an exhibition “Made in Social Europe” promoting innovation and promising practices implemented by their members. This is an opportunity to bring your achievements to the knowledge of a wider public. The preparation of the 2020 virtual edition is starting this month.

Three years on from the birth of the European Pillar of Social Rights, organisations and their networks are still working hard across the continent to promote and fulfil the Social Pillar principles. From professional integration programmes to anti-discrimination and essential and social services you are actively demonstrating first hand the impact that social projects can have in empowering communities and groups in vulnerable situations to feel included and protected.

However, often our innovations, practices and impacts fail to be seen or recognised by those elected to serve and promote our best interests. The Made in Social Europe Exhibition will allow, in an online and interactive way a glimpse of what you are doing. It would be also interesting to know if the COVID has affected your project and if you have any advice or best practice tips for other projects operating in the same environment.

The information provided will be exhibited in the Social Platform website and circulated widely. The Social Platform will create a slideshow of this year’s submissions alongside a 90-second audio clip from you or your participants showcasing the impact of your project.

Interested?  Please fill in the google form. Once pressing ‘submit’, you will be invited to send two high resolution photos and your project or organisation’s logo to andrew.dickie@socialplatform.org. The deadline for submission is Friday 23 October

For more information see the Social Platform webpage.
