An APP to support carers of people with dementia

AppForDem is an Erasmus+ Project that aims at creating a set of open educational and multilingual resources on dementia targeting informal carers as well as professionals taking care of with persons with dementia.

The project is implemented by a transnational partnership involving Edad Dorada Mensajeros de Paz de Castilla-La Mancha y Galicia (Spain), Asociatia Habilitas – Centru de Resurse si Formare Profesionala (Romania), SOSU Oestjylland (Denmak) and Anziani e non solo (Italy). The whole deveopment process is based a partecipative approach, with external experts and stakeholders constantly involved to validate the project progresses and to advise on improvements and useful adaptations at national level.

In the first stage of the project, the partnership has defined the curricula which will be implemented through an e-learning course (offering theoretical contents) and an APP that will offer a quick access to practical information about how to take care of a person with dementia, based on a questions & answers approach. Next steps will be the piloting of these resources and their adaptation to the national contexts.
