The European voice for informal carers

Bringing all stakeholders active in the social economy together in Mannheim

The European Commission and the City of Mannheim (DE) will jointly hold a European Summit on Social Economy on 26 -27 November 2020. The #EUSES2020 is an opportunity to bring all stakeholders active in the social economy together.

The aim is to strengthen the social economy in Europe, and harness its contribution to economic development, social inclusion as well as green and digital transitions. This will be discussed from three perspectives: digitalisation of the Social Economy, (social) innovation and cross-country and cross-sectoral collaboration.

The event will take place during the EU Council Presidency of Germany. It will bring together various stakeholders active in the social economy. It aims to further develop Social Economy networks in the European Union, foster exchange, present best practices and identify “lessons learned” for the sector. It will be an important milestone towards a “European Action Plan for Social Economy”, which the European Commission intends to launch in 2021.

The programme will be co-created by the City of Mannheim, the European Commission and by stakeholders. If you wish to submit your proposal for a workshop and/or participate in the conference please check the summit websitewww.euses2020.eu
