The European voice for informal carers

“Caring for Carers” hybrid event in Greece

‘The Greek Carers Network EPIONI, a proud member of the EUROCARERS network, continues its mission to support and empower informal carers of people with chronic illnesses and disabilities, and is pleased to announce its 11th “Caring for Carers” hybrid event in Kalamata, Greece. Recognizing the complex daily challenges faced by informal carers, EPIONI regularly organizes informative sessions where expert professionals provide practical and actionable guidance on key issues such as medical advice and health management, legal rights and advocacy, educational resources, and balancing employment with caregiving responsibilities. The upcoming conference will take place on April 23, 2026, at 17:00 (local Greek time), in a hybrid format, both in person at the Cultural Centre of Kalamata (33 Aristomenous St., Kalamata, Greece) and online, welcoming not only the local caregiving community but also participants from across Europe. Dedicated to strengthening and supporting family carers, the event is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Psychiatric Association and the Hellenic Brain Council, highlighting the important link between brain health, mental health, and caregiver well-being. EPIONI warmly invites the EUROCARERS community to share this initiative and join in the collective effort to inform, advocate for, and uplift informal carers throughout Europe.
