EASPD Call for Tender: Research on Human-Rights Based Support for Carers of Persons with Disabilities
The European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) is looking for a researcher or a research team for the study: “Human-Rights Based Support and Cooperation with Families and Informal Carers of Persons with Disabilities.”
The study will focus on the intersection of caregiving and support services with a human-rights perspective. It will:
- Evaluate family support systems across Europe: Highlighting how they meet the diverse needs of informal carers and persons with disabilities.
- Identify challenges faced by informal carers: Including their social, emotional, financial, and physical burdens.
- Explore best practices and policies: Showcasing programmes that balance caregiver support with empowering persons with disabilities.
- Provide actionable recommendations: For EU institutions, national governments, and civil society to strengthen caregiving systems sustainably and equitably.
The work will contribute to:
- Shaping discussions at the EASPD Conference in Turin (October 2025).
- Influencing future policy and practice in carer support.
Application deadline is January 23rd, 2025, 23:59 CET.
