EUF engaged and empowered EU families through storytelling, digital guide and card game
The Erasmus+ project EUF was an innovative journey to enhance communication between parents and children, employing a unique blend of non-formal, inclusive education methods.
This project was designed to strengthen family life skills and empower parents—especially those with fewer opportunities—to take a more active role in their communities.
Project Overview
The initiative was built around the development of user-friendly digital communication tools. By integrating storytelling, a digital guide, and a card game, EUF partners from Italy, Portugal and Greece aimed to offer tangible outputs that not only foster effective dialogue between parents and children but also bolster the overall empowerment of families across Europe.
Implementation Activities
EUF involved fragile target groups right from the start. The project collected real-life experiences and communication strategies from parents, ensuring that the learning tools were deeply rooted in genuine needs. The non-formal education activities focused on co-developing three core learning tools:
- Communication Stories: A gallery of narratives that captured the rich tapestry of parent–child interactions.
- Digital Guide: A comprehensive resource offering insights into effective communication techniques.
- Card Game: An engaging tool designed to explore and understand various communication styles.
An international, family inclusion–oriented team provided robust support through sound management practices, ensuring that every activity was aligned with the project’s objectives. This collaborative approach was key to setting the stage for a positive project closure in 2025 with a Final Meeting on the 7th March 2025
Results
The results were poised to pave the way for increased active participation from parents and carers, deeper involvement of fragile families, and a stronger presence of the EUF within European family networks.
EUF’s journey, marked by innovation and collaboration, not only redefined family communication strategies but also set a benchmark for inclusive, non-formal education practices across Europe.
