The European voice for informal carers

European Mental Health  Week 2025 has launched

Set up and run by Europe’s largest independent mental health NGO, Mental Health Europe, EuropeanMentalHealthWeek 2025 is taking place between the 19th and 25th of May. The theme this year is Care formentalhealth, invest in social rightsand organisations and individuals are invited to support the week and get involved.

This is the sixth year of the week-long campaign, and for 2025 the focus is on the links between mental health and social policies. The aim is to encourage policy makers and people in positions of power to think bigger than the biomedical narrative which focuses on the individual and illness.

Mental Health Europe wants your support to shift the focus towards tackling the root causes of poor mental health. You can find out more on the website or if you are planning any activities that spotlight how social conditions like poverty, inequality, and access to education, housing, or employment shape mental health you can apply to have it promoted on the official calendar by filling out this form.
