European Social Services Conference 2026
The European Social Network brings together more than 180 member organisations from 33 countries responsible for public social services, including national, regional, and local authorities, care agencies, and applied research agencies, connecting more than one million directors and senior professionals.
ESN’s flagship event, the European Social Services Conference (ESSC), is Europe’s largest forum for public social welfare policy and practice, attended by almost 700 delegates from over 35 countries in Aarhus in June 2025. The 2026 conference will take place in Valletta, Malta, where it will be hosted by the Foundation of Social Welfare Services (FSWS) and supported by Active Ageing & Community Care, Agenzija Sapport, the Malta Tourism Authority, Social Care Standards Authority (SCSA), and Positive Parenting.
This year’s conference, entitled ‘Bridging Boundaries – International Insights into Social Services’ will examine how Europe and other parts of the world design, finance, and deliver systems of public social services that contribute to the resilience of our societies in a time of constant crises.
ESN is currently inviting submissions for presentations to contribute to the conference programme. We believe that Eurocarers would benefit from applying to this conference as your expertise in the elderly Care sector aligns closely with our conference theme. We are confident that your contribution to discussions would also greatly enrich the conversation. Do not miss the chance to attend the biggest Social Services policy and practice forum in Europe and lead the conversation on transforming the future of social services!
The application deadline is 18 November, and you are welcome to submit in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Please find more information about the Call for Contributions process and how to apply on this website page.
