Migrant care report in German

Eurocarers welcomes the German initiative of wir pflegen e.V. to translate the position paper “Integrating migrant care into European and national long-term care strategies“ into German and producing it as an attractive document in print for use in German-speaking countries and for German MEPS and decision makers.

The document was launched at a recent two-day congress on „Live-In Care“ in Essen, Germany, where many participants referred to its recommendations. The document was also submitted to the Kommission of federal and state politicians who serenely set out the key pillars of a new car reform package. Wi pflegen e.V. has highlighted, the the interim report of this commission ds not mention migrant care in Germany, despite an estimated 500 families are old to use migrant carers due to the lack of local car provision.
