Welcome to the new project Genes4All
Our Greek members from Greek Association of Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders are excited to introduce Genes4All, an innovative project funded under the Erasmus+ programme. the mission is to enhance genetic literacy and provide support for individuals and families affected by neurodegenerative disorders through digital tools.
The Genes4All project focuses on achieving three key objectives:
- Developing a Genetic Counselling Service Delivery Model (GCSDM): A digital guide for health care professionals including appropriate guidelines and all steps on how to support genetic counselling sessions with the use of interactive tools for better decision-making and communication (WP2).
- Creating a Serious Game: An engaging and educational tool designed to simplify complex genetic information, improve health literacy, and support decision-making for patients affected by neurodegenerative disorders and their families (WP3).
- Developing an Open Online “Genes4all” Tool: Create resources to support genetic risk management for families of people with neurodegenerative disorders and healthcare professionals, offering solutions to challenges faced after genetic testing (WP4).
The Genes4All project follows an innovative model to foster engagement, education, and long-term impact through a transnational partnership involving project partners from Denmark, Germany, Spain, Turkey, and Greece. The aim of the project is to empower patients, provide healthcare professionals informal training, and support decision-making in genetic counselling with innovative tools.
