Discover the NEXUS Training Course – Supporting Young Carers through Policy, Research & Practice

Dear Eurocarers members and followers,

Some of you may already be familiar with the NEXUS Erasmus+ project, which Eurocarers has been proud to contribute to over the past two years. We are now pleased to share that the project has entered its final phase, with important results achieved — and above all, our training course is now ready and open to everyone!

About the NEXUS Project: The NEXUS project aims to strengthen the links between policy, research and practice in both the youth and welfare sectors. It raises awareness of the importance of involving end-users — especially young carers and those who support them — in research and policy development.

The project also seeks to empower youth and young carers by enhancing their active citizenship, sense of initiative, and entrepreneurship.

About the Training Course: The newly launched NEXUS online training course offers an open, multilingual learning programme for youth workers, young carers’ support professionals, and anyone interested in social policy or participatory research.

The course helps you to:

  • Understand the core competencies needed to bridge research, policy, and practice in youth work.
  • Learn how to involve young carers meaningfully in policy and research processes.
  • Strengthen your advocacy and evidence-based practice skills.
  • Gain insights from real-life examples and innovative approaches across Europe.

The training is self-paced, free of charge, and available in English, French, Italian and Greek languages. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of achievement.

We warmly invite all Eurocarers members and their networks to subscribe to the course, explore its resources, and benefit from its content. The materials are designed to be practical, inspiring, and adaptable to different national contexts.

Thank you for helping us promote the NEXUS training — a valuable tool for all those working to improve the lives of young carers across Europe.
