Registration is now open for the 5th International Young Carers Conference
Join researchers, practitioners, policymakers, young carers and young adult carers from across the globe at the 5th International Young Carers Conference (IYCC), taking place in Berlin, Germany, on 21–22 October 2026.
This year’s conference will showcase the latest international research, innovative practices and policy developments aimed at improving the lives of young carers. The programme features more than 50 parallel sessions and workshops covering topics such as strengthening support systems, schools and higher education, mental health, digital tools and AI, lived experience, policy innovation, diversity, bereavement, sibling carers, and international collaboration.
The conference offers a unique opportunity to:
- Discover the latest evidence and practice on supporting young carers.
- Exchange ideas with international experts and organisations.
- Learn directly from young carers and young adult carers sharing their lived experience.
- Build new partnerships and strengthen existing collaborations.
Registration is now open, and we encourage everyone with an interest in young carers to secure their place. Whether you are a professional, researcher, policymaker, student, or someone with lived experience, we would be delighted to welcome you to Berlin.

We also invite you to help spread the word by sharing this opportunity with your colleagues, networks and anyone interested in improving recognition and support for young carers worldwide.
We look forward to seeing you in Berlin this October.
