Save the date for Parent Carers Day in Germany
On 24 October, Parent Carers Day takes place for the second time, initiated by the working group of caring parents at wir pflegen e.V. in Germany. Last year’s first edition already reached many caring parents in Germany. This year, we’re taking the next step: for the first time, the day goes European, together with the support by Eurocarers.
The focus for 2026 is bureaucracy. Caring parents across Europe face endless paperwork, repeated assessments, shifting responsibilities and ever-new proof requirements, on top of the actual care work. This costs time, energy and wellbeing that families need to take care of their sons and daughters.
We would kindly ask for your support in making this day visible across Europe: share the campaign with your networks, invite your members to post their own bureaucracy experiences using #ParentCarersDay, or simply spread the word on 24 October.
