Stepping up efforts for better mental health of long-term care workers and informal carers
You are invited you to join the Health Policy Platform Webinar on “Stepping up efforts for better mental health of long-term care workers and informal carers”, on 29 October, from 14:00 to 15:30 CET.
On occasion of the International Day of Care and Support, building on the European Carers Day and World Mental Health Day, the webinar aims to shed light on priorities and concrete actions to support the mental health of long-term care workers and informal carers. This topic is crucial, as it concerns access to health, to long-term care, but also gender equality and the sustainability of our long-term care systems.
The first part of the webinar will provide the audience with a clear overview of psychosocial risks, protective and risk factors and prevention measures for long-term care workers. The focus will then be broadened, to also cover those who provide care outside of a professional or formal framework, usually on unpaid basis (informal carers). The EU funded project WELL CARE will be showcased.
Representatives from DG SANTE and DG Employment will participate in the discussion.
This webinar will take place online in the framework of the “Mental Health in all Policies” Stakeholders Network in the EU Health Policy Platform, led by Mental Health Europe.
