Save the Date: 4th Francophone Congress on Support for Carers – Paris, 27–28 October 2026
Eurocarers is delighted to highlight the 4th Congrès francophone sur l’accompagnement des aidants — an important event bringing together professionals, researchers, policymakers, carer organisations and carers themselves to discuss the latest developments in support, respite and policies for informal carers.
Organised by Fondation France Répit and the Association Française des Aidants, this major francophone congress will take place on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October 2026 at Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris.
Building on the successes of the first three editions — each bringing together over 500 participants with excellent satisfaction rates — the 2026 Congress will offer a rich programme of exchanges, insights and learning opportunities. It will focus on key issues impacting carers across francophone countries, including:
-
Keynote lectures and roundtable discussions with high‑profile speakers and experts;
-
Thematic workshops exploring practical solutions and innovative approaches to support carers;
-
An exhibition area showcasing initiatives, tools and services for carers;
-
Networking opportunities to connect stakeholders from across sectors and regions;
-
Digital access with select sessions available via livestream and replay for those unable to attend in person.
The Congress is set against the backdrop of France’s National Strategy for the Mobilisation and Support of Carers (2023–2027) and offers a valuable platform to reflect on recent progress, emerging challenges and future priorities for carers and support systems.
The Congress is open to a wide audience, including:
-
Health and social care professionals;
-
Local authority representatives and policymakers;
-
Members of carer and patient organisations;
-
Researchers and students in health and social fields;
-
Informal carers and advocates.
Registration details and the full programme will be released on the official event website: www.congres‑aidants.fr. Participants will be able to attend both onsite in Paris or via digital access — extending the reach of discussions across the francophone community.
